5 Ways to Support TruePrepper

This post has been updated from our original Support TruePrepper post that was first published in 2017. Sean weighs in with the 2024 updates in this TruePrepper ‘state of things’.

This post isn’t meant to be begging for help or anything- we’re in pretty good shape. However, we have had a few readers ask how they could contribute or help out, as they noticed we don’t run pop-ups, video ads, or email spam.

If you’re reading this post, I hope you’re a fan of what we’re doing here at TruePrepper. We are all about reaching as many people as possible and informing people that there are inherent risks in your life that you shouldn’t just blatantly ignore.

When you support us you help us get the word out by sharing, helping us pay server fees, and expanding our reach. Here are 5 easy and fast ways you can help us out:

Annual Update

For 2024 we have some big goals and our larger focus will be on communication solutions and first aid. We’re still knocking out tons of reviews, and have our giveaway going to help kickstart one lucky reader’s get home bag.

Overall, TruePrepper has been very successful from where it started 8 years ago and we hope to build on that success in an even bigger way for 2024. The best thing you can do for us as a loyal reader is to make sure that you are prepared for anything. Below, we’ll go through a few other completely free things that help us all out.

Enter Our Giveaways

We take some of our favorite gear from our reviews, combine them with some extra gear we have left over, and give them away to some lucky preppers!

There are a ton of ways to enter the giveaways we run, and we’ve given away several thousands of dollars of survival gear over the years.

Sharing is Caring

If you see a post that we cook up and you like it or think it is pretty relevant, feel free to share it!

Whether you use social media, email, or just word of mouth- we appreciate great discussions on the topics we venture into. If you follow us on social media it will make it easier for you to share our posts.

Pay Our Server Fees

We’ve set up a Patreon page for those who want to help us out and/or get access to the source Excel files we’ve made for various prepping calculators.

Vote for Us

There are some ranked voting websites out there, and we are a pretty competitive group. By helping us climb the leaderboards on these sites, you are increasing our exposure.

Voting is free and just takes a second. Here is one that we are still showing up on: Survival Top 50.

Many of the ‘old guard’ websites have been sold off, abandoned, or taken down. When I started in 2016, there was a pretty tight-knit ring of prepper bloggers who worked together frequently. They welcomed me into their fold and a few took me under their wing.

Since then, many of them have been eviscerated by the Google algorithm, cratering their web traffic. Our site gets more traffic than most of the ones left from the ‘Top 50’ list.

The voting sites may not matter much anymore, but I’m still nostalgic about them.

Demand Something

We absolutely love it when we get content requests. It makes us do some research, rack our brains, talk within our group on how we would handle it or have handled a situation, and get a great post up.

Let us know what you want to see or how you think we could be doing things better. A friend with feedback is always great to have.

The Final Word

We are already feeling the love, so this post was not meant as a guilt trip or anything like that. We just wanted to lay out the easiest ways that you guys can help us keep going and growing. By the way, here are our top articles of 2023:

Thanks for reading and continuing to stop by when you get the chance!

Keep exploring, stay prepared, and be safe.
