We have several ways for you to follow along, depending on your preferences. Most people prefer to subscribe to our weekly newsletter, but we also have a lot of great content on our social media channels. Lastly, you can subscribe as a supporter if you are looking to help us out.
The Newsletter
Sign up for our newsletter to get notified about new articles, reviews, and giveaways. We don’t send sponsored posts, irrelevant info, or spam- because we hate all those just as much as you do.
You’ll only get one email per week with a roundup of any new articles.
What You Can Expect
The newsletter will hit your inbox before the crack of dawn every Monday. This should help you get your week off to a strong start with actionable prepping info and thorough survival gear reviews.
When you first subscribe, you will need to approve the subscription (again, we hate spam).
If we have something urgent to share, like an update to one of our classic survival kit lists, we’ll typically show it above the rest of the updates.
Four times per year, we also send out an additional email listing the best deals for the frugal preppers out there. You can typically expect those in March (Spring Sale), July (Prime Day), October (Big Deal Days), and November (Black Friday).
Of course, you can unsubscribe at any time. We are proud of our extremely low unsubscribe rate, so feel free to contact us to let us know how we could have done better if you do choose to unsubscribe.
What Not to Expect
We keep it straightforward and informational on our site. Just like here, you won’t find political content, social commentary, satire, or irrelevant info in your inbox. We do get into a bit of fun on our social media channels, but that all stays there.
Also, we won’t spam you or sell your information. We take your commitment to us being your leading prepping information source seriously and hold ourselves accountable.
Lastly, we don’t make it difficult to change your mind. If, for any reason, you decide you don’t want our emails anymore, there is an unsubscribe button at the end of each and every email we send. We also proactively remove you from our email list if we notice you are no longer interested and have quit interacting with the emails.
If, for some reason, you have difficulty unsubscribing, you can always email us, and we’ll manually remove your email and information from our distribution list promptly. We are proud of our extremely low unsubscribe rate, but understand our content may not be for everyone, despite our best efforts.
TruePrepper on Social
If email isn’t your thing, you can check us out on our social media sites. Following the links may be better than searching for us since there are some impostors out there! We don’t ask our readers or followers for anything (especially Bitcoin), so that’s an easy way to know an account is not real. We’re also verified on some of the larger platforms.
Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn are exclusively social content and usually do not show when new articles are published. We use these as separate channels to explore topics, talk about current events, and participate in those specific communities.
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Reddit are where our post updates go. New guides and reviews will be available on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Reddit before the weekly newsletter hits your inbox. If you are looking for the fastest ways to get informational updates, these are it.
Make sure you’re on an official channel. While we aren’t large enough to have too many copycat scammers on social media, it can happen from time to time.
Patreon Subscription
In addition to our traditional social media channels, we also run a Patreon where we already have hundreds of members. This is unique because there are tiers: you can join for free or become a paid member. Paid members have access to all of the shop resources (spreadsheets, one-click survival PDF libraries, etc.) for free.
We set it up originally as a way to share large resources without burdening our servers, but we’ve been blessed with a much larger following than we deserve!
This isn’t the typical way to subscribe to TruePrepper – we don’t give regular updates about the website and use Patreon simply as a tool. Becoming a paid member doesn’t give you anything unique- it’s just a way to support us and the website, our cause, and our mission. Thank you to everyone who takes the plunge!
